The speed loader has individual springs for each round, which in theory are better than old big spring. The loader comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate different revolvers.

May 05, 2015 · It makes loading the speed loaders by hand more difficult but very doable with practice. Some find it necessary to use a loading block though. Look at the picture of grandboule's jet loader compared to a stock loader picture. The nipples are cut off and about half of the length of the part that holds the rounds.

Mar 26, 2013 · I bet there are still some Dade speedloaders in PPC. I forget the brand, but an early, early speedloader was a rubber cone that worked like a circular Speed Strip, start the rounds into the cylinder and peel the loader away. Got it, that was the Hunt Speedloader.

Do you like them, hate them, whats the verdict on these as im not to fond of the HKS (personal reasons) and Safariland has no plans on making a Comp II for them. Noone, nobodys used these.

Aug 18, 2019 · The S.L. Variant is the holy grail of revolver speed loaders. I have never been able to try one, due to poor availability and high costs on the used market. I hope this works out. I have always thought that there is a lot of money being left on the table here. Right now Safariland has a monopoly on the "push" style speedloader market.

Oct 29, 2012 · I own them all, HKS, SL Variant, and 5 Star, for my LCR, (and Safariland for my Security 6 and GP.) The only one that actually fits the "cylinder bullet circle" on the LCR is the 5 Star. (The one specifically for the LCR, the J2 36) With the 5 Star you can seat the speed loader fully into the cylinder and spin it, at least with Crimson Trace grips.

I particularly like the JK2 loader for K frame M10,15,19, and 66's. Safariland does not make a 7 shot loader for the S&W L frame or the 7 shot GP-100, so they are not an option.
